There have been good reviews for this, including one on Wirecutter blog. This product claims to be safe for clear coat, but be sure to follow the specifications. For heavy stains, let the product sit for 30 seconds, but not more than 1 minute.
For best results, I’d follow that with a wipe of a microfiber cloth and hose water(see my reviews for those).
