The Fill-Er-Up Battery: Quantino

There is a new technology that has been around for several years that utilizes a fill-up style fuel source for your EV. It’s really two fuels which are essentially an anolyte an a catholyte. These two positive and negatively charged ion fuels are a replacement for batteries. Please forgive me if I butchered that.

When I first heard of an electrolyte fuel, my mind wandered to hydrogen. But no, it seems this is a revolutionary way to accommodate the old fuel tank paradigm with a renewable energy source!

Relax Aptera people – this is still not free energy. Still, it is a compelling clean energy concept that could become adopted. I’m sure we’ll let the Europeans figure it out as usual.

You may have heard about the earlier model called Quant. The new Quantino 25 boasts a top speed of 124 mph and a 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

The so-called electrolyte fuel uses words such as nano and flow cell. It certainly looks compelling to me. I wonder if this will go the way of the laser-released hydrogen captured media company called Plasma Kinetics. Sandy Munro and others have been interested in this company that has since gone quiet. This is due in part to government patent restrictions.

At any rate, The Quantino teaser video is below from their YouTube channel. It looks pretty cool. 🙂
