“Rennch”ing Porsches | Blasphemy

Introduction to the “Blasphemy Build”

You may recall that I posted an article featuring 6 custom car builds on YouTube. There are a few custom car builds that I have been following for the past year or so. One of them is this fella. Its Mike from Rennch channel on YouTube.

Mike is actually a sand blasting tech who undertook the resurrection of an old Porsche 911 racecar. He plans to drop in a Twin-Turbo Subaru engine, hence the nickname “Blasphemy Build”.

It has been very enjoyable watching Mike craft the body to his specifications including 3d-printed tail lights and welded 911 ST flares! Behind Mike is the car back home from paint!

Mike is in the final push to present the Blasphemy Build for the 2022 SEMA show in November. Please like, subscribe and support him, as he needs the support to buy parts and roll it into the show. I’m happy to support the cause to all 5 of my readers. 😐 All kidding aside, I admire the work and journey up to this point.

  1. It has been so fascinating to watch him work on every little detail. I wonder if he could save time and weight by just throwing a high performance electric motor in there.

    • Yes! If you watch Electric Classic Cars on YouTube, you will see a dozen or so case studies of how you could distribute the weight between the batteries and the motor. So much could be eliminated from the project. It is, however, another skill set. Probably not the thrill he’s going for.
